NEW YORK—32BJ members today announced their endorsements for progressive leaders in New York City government. As President Trump’s administration and Republicans in the Senate and House are pushing anti-worker and anti-immigrant policies at the federal level, it is more important than ever, to have local leaders who will stand up for working people. “New York City must remain a place where progressive policies and laws protect the most vulnerable among us,” said 32BJ President Hector Figueroa. “We have endorsed these leaders because of their history of standing up for working people, immigrant rights, good public education, affordable housing, criminal justice, police reform and other issues that are important to our members and their families.” SEIU local 32BJ proudly endorses these candidates for re-election and will work with them to ensure they keep making this city a good home for working families:   NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio   NYC Comptroller Scott Stringer NYC Public Advocate Letitia James   Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams Queens Borough President Melinda Katz Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr.   Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez   City Council District 1 Margaret Chin City Council District 2 Carlina Rivera City Council District 3 Corey Johnson City Council District 4 Keith Powers City Council District 5 Ben Kallos City Council District 6 Helen Rosenthal City Council District 7 Mark Levine City Council District 8 Diana Ayala City Council District 9 Bill Perkins City Council District 10 Ydanis Rodriguez City Council District 11 Andrew Cohen City Council District 12 Andy King City Council District 13 Mark Gjonaj City Council District 14 Fernando Cabrera City Council District 15 Ritchie Torres City Council District 16 Vanessa Gibson City Council District 17 Rafael Salamanca City Council District 19 Paul Vallone City Council District 21 Francisco Moya City Council District 22 Costa Constantinides City Council District 23 Barry Grodenchik City Council District 24 Rory Lancman City Council District 25 Daniel Dromm City Council District 26 Jimmy Van Bramer City Council District 27 I.
